Reliance Infrastructure awarded Rs.780-cr Haryana project.India

The Haryana government has awarded a Rs.780-crore contract to Reliance Infrastructure for four-laning the Gurgaon-Faridabad road, state officials said here Monday. The build, operate and transfer (BOT) project is expected to be completed by May 2011. The Ballabhgarh-Sohna road will also be widened as part of this project.

IFC is adviser to Vizhinjam port project.India

Ministry set to line up 6 mega highway projects.India

In a complete break from the current style of bidding out highway projects (as small parcels of land), the surface transport ministry is planning to award mega projects comprising 400 km to 600 km of highways. “In the next four to six months, we will be bidding out the first of the mega projects that will entail an investment of Rs 5,000 crore or about $1 billion,” road transport and highways minister Kamal Nath said on Sunday.
