RECORD petrol prices have not damaged Australian toll-road revenue after figures from operator Transurban revealed a jump in coffers for the June quarter.
Toll and fee revenue from the road company's largest asset, Melbourne's CityLink road, jumped 9.7 per cent to $94.1 million for the quarter while traffic over the last financial year delivered $362.8 million.

Jackson Mississippi parkway strong development concession - state's CFO and dep-ED
Brenda Znachko, chief financial officer and deputy exec-director at Mississippi DOT says the Jackson Airport Parkway is a financially "strong" project. She says a traffic and revenue study by URS is being finalized, and will be released at an industry workshop, compulsory for bidders, in Jackson July 1.

PA Gov Rendell accepts that legislature won't consider enabling legislation for Turnpike lease until
Pennsylvania Governor Rendell has accepted that the state legislature won't consider enabling legislation in time to accept the legally binding Abertis-Citi bid of $12.8b which expires June 20. He told reporters yesterday: "There isn't enough time (this month) to have the General Assembly review the Turnpike lease."

Abertis/Citi selected in $12.8 billion bid for Pennsylvania Turnpike lease
With a bid of $12.8 billion an Abertis/Citi team has been selected as the concessionaire in a 75 year lease of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The bids were received in a second round of best-&-final offer bids last Friday (May 16). #2 bidder was Transurban/Goldman Sachs at $12.1b.

The board of directors of the Nevada Department of Transportation Thursday voted to back a proposed demonstration project that would make two lanes of I-15 into toll lanes operated by a private company.

3pm today (Friday May 16) was the deadline for best and final offers for a 75 year lease concession on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Before he had seen the final bids an official who knew about last week's initial round of bids said he expected the final offer today would be "better than Act 44 revenues but not by a great deal."

The Wall Street Journal's MarketWatch service is reporting that groups led by Abertis and Goldman Sachs are the only two remaining bidders for the 75 year lease concession on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The third group comprising Cintra and Macquarie - two of the most aggressive bidders in past concession procurements - are out.

The Wall Street Journal reports that two bids have been submitted for the 75 year toll concession on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It says the bids have been made by Abertis and a Cintra-Macquarie partnership.
