IRB Infra looks for business outside Maharashtra.India

IRB Infrastructure, India’s largest toll road operator, plans to venture into areas out of Maharashtra for projects based on a build-operate-and-transfer (BOT) basis. The company has filed for request for qualifications (RFQs) for projects worth Rs 1,852 crore in Rajasthan and Gujarat for the improvement and widening of roads and modernisation of border check posts. According to company presentation at an analyst meet, projects worth Rs 1,352 crore are under RFQ stage with the Gujarat State Road Development Corp (GSRDC) to improve and widen the Bhuj-Bhachau Road and the Nakhatrana–Dayapar–Panendro Road, and four-laning of Sarkhej–Vataman– Bhavnagar Road on a BOT basis. In Rajasthan, the company plans to go for the modernisation and computerisation of border check posts at 13 locations for Rs 500 crore, out of its total Rs 15,186 crore projects under RFQ stage.
