New Delhi, May 19 The National Highways Authority of India today entered into an agreement with Pune- Solapur Expressway Pvt Ltd, a special purpose vehicle, for four-laning of Pune- Solapur stretch of NH - 9 in Maharashtra at a cost of Rs 1,110 crore. Join discussion...

The first has been awarded to the Isolux-Soma Consortium. It involves the 4-6 laning of 133 km of national highways of Gujarat/Maharashtra Border-Surat-Hazira Port. The total project cost is Rs 1,509 crore. The agreement involves a grant of Rs 556 crore to the concessionaire and the concession period is 19 years, including a 30-month construction period. In addition, NHAI has awarded the 4-laning of the Pune-Solapur section of NH-9 in Maharashtra on BOT basis. The concessionaire for the project is Navinya Buildcon and Atlantia SPA. The length of the project is about 110 km and the total project cost is Rs 1,110 crore. The agreement involves a grant of Rs 299 crore. The concession period is 21 years, including 910 days for construction. The project will have bridges, fly-overs, vehicular under passes, pedestrians under passes, truck lay-byes etc. There will be a 124 km long service road on both sides of the project.
